Deputy Minister Pham Minh Ha: Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture strengthens research and innovates training programs

(Construction) – On the afternoon of October 5, Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture held its Opening Ceremony for the 2024-2025 academic year. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Construction Pham Minh Ha, Mr. Hoang Hai Van, Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel (Ministry of Construction), principals from Western University of Construction and Central University of Construction, numerous business partners from the construction industry, and representatives of hundreds of new students and faculty members.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Pham Minh Ha, on behalf of the Ministry of Construction, extended his congratulations to the teachers and students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture on the start of the new school year. He acknowledged and highly appreciated the school’s continuous efforts over the years. Deputy Minister Pham Minh Ha also emphasized that Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture is one of Vietnam’s leading institutions for training architects, engineers, and graduates across various disciplines.

Deputy Minister Pham Minh Ha urged the school leaders and faculty to not only strive to complete the plans for the new academic year but also to continue implementing the tasks and requirements set by the Ministry of Construction. He specifically expressed hope that the university would facilitate and send skilled lecturers and experienced experts to participate in the activities of the State Inspection Council on acceptance of construction works. This involvement would contribute significantly to the quality management of important national projects, particularly in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Thuong, Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, highlighted that when one refers to the university, they are talking about an institution with a rich history and a strong reputation in training, scientific research, and technology transfer. He noted that the university’s reputation and image are highly regarded by society. The achievements of the university today are the results of the contributions made by generations of teachers, students, and trainees, especially the new generation of students for the 2024-2025 academic year. He encouraged these students to continue enhancing and contributing to the overall success of the university in line with its established educational philosophy.

According to the 2024 enrollment results, Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture admitted 1,690 candidates across its three training facilities. Of these, 1,654 candidates confirmed their enrollment through the enrollment system of Ministry of Education and Training.
