(Construction) – On the morning of May 29, under the direction and sponsorship of the Ministry of Construction and the Hanoi People’s Committee, the Vietbuild Industry Hanoi International Exhibition 2024 was inaugurated at the National Exhibition Palace for Architecture and Construction Planning. The exhibition, themed “Machinery and Equipment – Industrial Goods – Construction Materials & Interior and Exterior Decoration,” showcases a wide range of industry innovations and advancements.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh remarked that the socio-economic situation in the first five months of 2024 has continued to recover and achieve positive results. He noted that the macroeconomy and the monetary market remained stable, inflation was controlled, and major economic balances were maintained. Import-export turnover and industrial production, including the processing and manufacturing industries, increased compared to the same period in 2023. Additionally, many key national infrastructure projects were initiated and inaugurated.

However, Deputy Minister Sinh also highlighted several ongoing challenges, including weak economic demand, signs of recovery in credit growth that remain low due to weak demand for credit, limited capacity to absorb capital, and limited access to credit.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that: “this exhibition not only introduces construction materials and interior and exterior decoration products but also showcases significant advancements in the construction and industry sectors. It features a wide variety of machinery, equipment, industrial goods, wood processing machines, and interior accessories. This regular and specific activity supports the implementation of state policies and guidelines, promotes trade, technological innovation, and investment cooperation, and aids businesses in restoring and developing their production and business activities”

With nearly 900 booths from domestic and foreign enterprises, the exhibition are showcases many new products and services with creative features, including environmentally friendly, green, renewable, and safe products. During the four-day event, numerous seminars, meetings, and cooperation programs take place to enhance trade promotion activities between associations and domestic and international construction industry management agencies. Business forums introduce technological products and solutions aimed at driving breakthroughs in the construction and industry sectors, fostering economic development in 2024 in line with government policy.
